So, it’s the beginning of a brand new year! Instead of doing a round-up of all my fave bits from 2014 (well its kinda like that) I thought I would show you guys my Top Picks that I am taking forward into this year. Here are some of the ‘key’ products I know will always be in my make up bag.
My skin has been truly transformed by this moisturiser, prone to some pesky acne my face was in need of some care. I was looking for a new moisturiser and stumbled upon ‘Yes To’ which at the time was on offer as it was new to Boots. They have different vegetables and fruit ranges depending on your skin type, I have typical combination skin so my veggy/fruit option was tomatoes. (I did wonder if it would smell like tomatoes, sadly it doesn’t). This moisturiser has a secret ability it’s also good for spot fighting! Hurrah! I’ve been using it for so long now. It leaves my skin visibly even and has even cleared up some of my acne.
The eye crayon is a last min addition to this collection of beauty pieces. I am a total convert, especially when you need a quick and easy smoky eye or just an all over even colour. My Mum got me this Rimmel London Kate Moss eye crayon in ‘ROSE GOLD’ for Christmas. I might have to buy another one as I think it might be limited edition! Such a gorgeous slightly shimmery bronzed gold. It glides effortlessly, which is perfect when I’m bleary eyed at 6am putting my make up on.
I’ve finally given in to the fact that bright lippys just don’t suit me. My thin lips just don’t do them justice. The nude lip is defo continuing to 2015. Even if I don’t have a Kylie Jenner pout I’m gonna be rocking a nude/pink lip all the damn time!
Finally my go to eye trio (the mascara I for some reason forgot to photograph individually, my bad). My go to eye palette is of course my Urban Decay Naked 3, I’ve still not found a combination that I don’t like. I use every colour, of course not at once but I go through phases of different combos. The eyeliner that will always be my ‘go to’ is the Maybelline Master Graphic, for someone who likes a cat eye its perfect, to describe the look its like a marker pen, hence the name, angled slightly so you can create thin and thick lines. I use it everyday and it lasts allllll day. And lastly the frame around your eyes the mascara, your eyelashes are really delicate and are pulled about all the time when applying mascara, this one has Argan oil in it and in my mind this is helping my eyelashes keep healthy and smooth. I’ve recently repurchased both my eyeliner and mascara as I was running low!
