A while ago I spotted while scrolling through my Instagram feed a post by Ciaté about becoming a Colour Queen, which was basically a competition to repost the image and you could be picked to spend the day at their London HQ! I never normally do any competitions on Instagram but though why the hell not! I love Ciaté and it’s not like I’m gonna win! Roll on a few weeks later and I’ve got an Instagram notice from the lovelies at Ciaté telling me I’ve only gone and won!! I jumped up and down in the office at work! And after a few emails back and forth to the lovely Sophie, it was all in motion!

We arrived at their London HQ at around 11am! (Oh, I took my Mum with me, she loved it!) We were greeted by Sophie and Georgia who took us into the Alice in Wonderland themed board room for our intro talk. It was really interesting to know the full beginning of the company and the founder Charlotte Knight. The talk then went on to go through the different nail products, I love the nail caviar which was the product that really launched the company even further. Something I did not know what that Ciaté isn’t even a word! It’s an acronym Colour Innovation Aspiration Trend Extraordinary. Know knowing this everything they do as a brand really does make sense. They do love playing with colours and taking inspiration from our everyday surroundings. It was also nice to find out that Sophie herself names all the varnishes! How cool is that as part of your job!

I was in utter amazement and jealous mode at the whole workplace. I got to have a walk around with Georgia and see the different areas such as social media, finance and graphics! I also got a sneaky look at some of the new Olivia Palermo polishes! They are so pretty in real life! We then got to have allay around with some varnishes and make our own individual blend of caviar! I didn’t get a chance to name mine but I ended up going for some dusty gold and dark blue caviar which kinda reminds me of something from The Great Gatsby, as I layered it over a deep purple called ‘Main Stage’.

Next was our amazing surprise treat, getting spa pedicures at The Mondrian Hotel! And also getting to try out the Geltox range was really cool! I’ve never had gel nails before, so it was a new experience for me. The spa itself was amazing, again I’ve never had a pedicure before, and my feet and legs feel amazing. I got a really gorgeous coral/red colour on my feet called ‘Pom Pom’ and I got my FAVE colour ever ‘Pepperminty’ on my finger nails with the added gel topcoat! Which can last up to 10 days!! How good is that!

I had the most amazing day, being able to have a nose around one of my fave nail varnish brands and also get pampered too!

Thanks Ciaté and of course Sophie, Georgia and Laura for being such babes!
