Wow! Just WOW! This ‘MAY CONTAIN NUDITY’ palette from BUXOM is becoming a firm favourite of mine. As promised now I have properly integrated this palette into my daily routine I’m gonna try my best to review it for you! Spoiler alert… I LOVE IT!
Who knew I could get so excited about 6 shades of eyeshadow. It’s the little things! From the packaging right down to the colours of the shadows themselves. I’m sold! I had never heard of Buxom Cosmetics before I began browsing on sephora.com, I didn’t even know til now that the palette is an exclusive to the site! My subconscious must have known.
Both Gimme Gorgeous & Big Spender are matt shadows, while the others are shimmery. Gold Status is the most iridescent and looks amazing swept all over the lid for a metallic shine and some simplicity. As you can see Satin Seduction doesn’t really show up to much on my really pale arm but it is a really nice creamy base colour or inner eye highlighter. Pretty much goes with everything. I have yet to fully use Haute Couture but I know it is gonna make one hell of a chocolaty smokey eye.
Another really amazing thing that I didn’t realise until I had the palette in my hands is that it is completely customisable! It has a very well hidden drawer which slides out and you can remove each shadow. I’ve looked at the pricing for an individual colour bar which is $12 so that’s a little over £7, so not too bad for a single colour. I will definitely be getting some more shades to add to my collection, think about the make up bag space it will save when travelling! Or if you are wanting to try new combinations it’s all there in one place.
I have to mention the packaging too, being such a design freak that I am, if the packaging is bland then it’s normally a no from me! The snake-skin print is oh so sassy, its sleek and compact and I love the tagline inside:
LIVE LIFE VIVIDLY
I think that line pretty much sums up everything really. It may be just make up but if it makes you feel a little bit better, then just go for it!
Have you found any amazing new make up finds lately? What do you think of the Buxom Palette?
