Another lovely section of Locally Sourced Food for you guys to drool over. It’s all available in your local East of England CO-OP now, just in time for Christmas feasts and get togethers. I created a mini hamper to show you one of the ways you can spread the Christmas cheer and support locally produced foods.
The Haleigh Maid Chocolate marshmallow swirls (£1.69) are so yummy! After I photographed them I had to taste it! And they are so chocolatey and the marshmallow is just the right amount of gooey and sticky. Who couldn’t resist some traditional mince pies (£1.69 for pack of 6), Leggs Bakery are known throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, and for good reason. I love how each mince pie is ever so slightly different which really showcases their homemade vibes.
I don’t drink alcohol but a little tipple at Christmas isn’t going to kill me, my Dad gratefully accepted the Woodforde’s Brewery Tinsel Toes Christmas Ale (£2.19) with lots of companies bringing out festive themed products I just love the cute name of this one, Tinsel Toes! It’s described as a dark bitter with a hint of Christmas Pudding.
And finishing off my mini hamper is the Shawsgate Vineyard Vintage Sparkling Rose (18.99) a Suffolk vineyard which is one of East Anglia’s oldest vineyards. I think the fact that its pink is a winner alone for me! I’m sure this will be making an appearance either over Christmas of New Year’s for something a little different.

I’ve really enjoyed being able to sample some local products, being able to support a local business is always a great feeling. You can do this too, just pop by your local East of England CO-OP or go online here and see what festive treasures you can find.
Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks for all the great support this year, I’ve had a blast being able to blog the things I like and that you really enjoy hearing about them and what I get up to.
